The wife of a rancher know only to us as "Mrs. Elliot," whose husband was away on a cattle buying trip, held off an Apache attack until cowboys from neighboring ranches rallied and came to her aid.
After the area was pacified a rider volunteered to take a message to her husband. She wrote:
"Dear Mr. Elliot,
The Apaches came down, and I am pretty nigh out of buckshot.
Everyone is fine.
Send more buckshot.
Your Loving Wife"
Not just TFL women, but a pray for the future of the human race, all women.
