Anschutz North America in Alabama.

Anschutz, the German maker of extra fine rimfires and airguns for competition has a new facility in Alabama.
They are also the importer of RWS airguns, too.
And high class ammo for their guns, too.
Wish I could afford some of their stuff.
Their web site is

Drool away.

Cool!

I hope there's enough interest in their products for them to make a go of their American facility.

They make some serious target guns and of course charge serious prices for them.

I've heard people here in Minnesota talking about trying biathlon but I think it's mostly talk, you have to be in pretty good shape and a pretty good shooter to think of getting involved in that sport.

Still, maybe some folk will do it, find out how difficult it is and maybe there will be some slightly used Anschutz rifles for sale...a guy can always dream.

Wish Anschutz would make a blind mag or floorplate .22lr bolt action (and .22 mag and .17 HMR).

I just "found" a bunch of pellets I had, after a move, so may need to get a .177 airgun again to shoot them. Miss my RWSs.

Being from Alabama I had no idea Anschutz was here...I am 100% sure they are better quality than the Remington rifles being made 45 min away from where I live. Don't get me wrong I'd love to work for Remington but I'm not taking a serious paycut to work there.

Another source of RWS-100 ammo is nice. I'm not planning on paying their prices for the rifles though. I'm sure they're nice but my CZ455 Varminter shoots about as well as any 22 rifle can.
