Since when is the NRA responsible for curbing 'gun violence'. Isn't that the job of the police?

Man, if that wasn't of the "have you stopped beating your wife?" category!!!

It's not the NRA's BUSINESS to curb violence. It's the NRA's business to promote firearms awareness, safety, excellence, and (most important, lately) RKBA! It is the roll of the citizenry to curb violence. One might think that the police in your area would be charged with it, but apparrently not.

The NRA can help the citizen help to protect himself. That's plenty.

Done. Also sent the following comment:

quote:
I have to comment on the poll question today, which asks whether or not the NRA is doing enough to curb violence.

Since when is it the NRA's job to curb violence of any kind, whether it is done with a gun, a knife, or a baseball bat? Isn't it the job of *parents* to raise their children correctly so that they don't see a need to commit violent acts? Instead of blaming the NRA, the parents should be the focus of the question.[/quote]
