Well I have a question about the Taurus line of 38 special pistols with the 2 inch ported barrel. This past weekend I bought a new Total Titanium 38 special and after looking at the Taurus website I am slightly confused.
Check out the weights of these two models of 38 specials.
The "Ultra Light" 38 special with the Titanium cylinder and barrel weighs 13.7 oz. http://www.taurususa.com/titanium/85mult.html
The "Total Titanium" 38 special with the full Titanium construction weighs 15.4 oz. http://www.taurususa.com/titanium/m85t.html
I thought the whole purpose of the Total Tianium construction was to make the gun lighter? According to the site the Total Titanium model is slightly heavier. What is going on here? Is the site mistaken? Any ideas?
Thanks
