Another South African 17 round BHP mag question.

Guys --

I really need your help in this one. Two weeks ago, I purchased two of those South African 17-ound Browning Hi-Power mags I've been reading about. I loaded the mags with 16 rounds and let them sit like everyone suggested. Yesterday, I took the mags out and unloaded them by hand. Well, halfway through, the follower gets stuck in the magwell. This happens everytime I load and unload the mag. And it happens with both mags. A slap on the baseplate unjams the follower. When I push the follower down using a pencil, I can see what's causing the problem. The follow slips to the side and wedges itself against the magwell. Has this happened to anybody else?

I have the same problem with mine, but they seem to improve with use. I have not experienced any misfeeds when actually shooting the pistol however.

I had the same problem with one of the two I purchased. I took the mag apart and cleaned up the rough edges of the follower and made any adjustment to the front and rear tabs to allow the follower to slide nicely when it gets near the top of the tube. Now works well at the range. They do fit well but I wouldn't waste my $$$ on them if I had it to do again.
