You live in a big metro area and you carry legally its daylight and sunny:
Your going to pick up your wife/girlfriend @ her work @ 5pm. As usual you pull into the huge parking garage downtown in the highrise attatched to the building she works in. You take the elevator down to the lobby level were you take a short stroll across a walkway to the other building were she works. The walk way is the open air type suspended about 20 feet above a beautiful court yard that nestles between the two highrises, there is a bar in the courtyard and many tables, benches and chairs, were alot of proffesionals that work in the two buildings, lawyers, bankers etc. relax after a trying day. As the you walk out of the elevator and onto the begining of the walk way you hear gunshots and see that everybody is either running in panick or lying on the ground. A man wearing a suit and tie is shooting at another man in the same dress below in the courtyard. People are running in terror below and these two men are pretty much alone by now. You realize this has started before you came down. Its looks as though the man being shot at is limping, has no weapon, and is running from the assualting man who has a handgun pionted at him and is about 10 yrds away, this man is directly below you @ about 20 yrds out and standing still. You are now behind cover of one of the bridge pillars and assesing:
1. You know by law you can defend the limping man, with deadly force from being killed in this state.
2. You have a clear shot with overpeneatration/missed shots going straight into the concrete below at your angle.
3. But you came into this in the middle, is this man on a "I just lost all my money" rampage and is going to target someone else or is he a cop that has Identified him self before you got there. Since there is a bank in the building is this a bank heist gone wrong? As he is still bearing down on the injured man and not shouting anything coherently maybe he is not a cop-but maybe he is.
4. You are in no immediate danger and have good cover.
5. 20 yrds under pressure is no stones throw, what if you miss and draw his fire??
Okay go ahead-but then get back to work!!!!!!!!!!
