Would appreciate knowing manufacture dates for two model 37 Airweights - - -



J875XXX, one I've had for a long while.

ADB06XX,, a lot more recent.

Johnny, the Model 37 with serial number J875XXX was made sometime in 1981 and the Model 37 with serial number ADB06XX was made sometime between January 1983 and October 1983. Hope this helps!

Comparing the two revolvers, I could tell they were substantially identical, but the entirely different serial number sequence would have led me to believe they were farther apart in time than this. I bought the older one, I believe, in 1982 I shot it a LOT and carried it almost continuously for almost 15 years. It looks like it, too, as most of the time was in an ankly holster or loose in a vest pocket.

The (not much) newer one showed up in a local shop the other day, and appears about unfired, and but little carried. Except for the fact that so many 2" RB mod 37s were produced, it is almost too nice to carry.
