Another reason to Boycott CITGO

I am posting this everywhere I can, and have sent it to every e-mail address in my book.
Cindy Sheehan should not be allowed back in the USA. She has not only dishonored her son, that did not even live with her, but now his country.
Remember that CITGO is on the NRA anti-gin list?
Well check this out:

Venezuelan Dictator Vows To Bring Down U.S. Government

Venezuelan government is sole owner of Citgo Oil company

Venezuela Dictator Hugo Chavez has vowed to bring down the U.S. government.
Chavez, president of Venezuela, told a TV audience: "Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We have to bury imperialism this century."

The guest on his television program, beamed across Venezuela, was Cindy Sheehan, the antiwar activist. Also, Chavez recently had as his guest Harry Belafonte, who called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world."

Chavez is pushing a socialist (Marxist) revolution and has a close alliance with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

Regardless of your feelings about the war in Iraq, the issue here is that we have a socialist dictator vowing to bring down the government of the U.S., and he is using our money to achieve his goal!

The Venezuelan government, run by dictator Chavez, is the sole owner of Citgo gas company. Sales of products at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our government.

Take Action.

Please decide that you will NOT be shopping at a Citgo station. Why should U.S. citizens who love freedom be financing a dictator who has vowed to take down our government?

Very important. Please forward this to your friends and family. Most of them don't know that Citgo is owned by the Venezuelan government.

Breaking News: Chavez announced this past week (Feb.22nd.) that, effective March 1st 2006, Continental and Delta Airlines could not fly into Venezuela, and that American Airlines flights would be restricted.

The company is owned by PDV America, Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

But that's not going to stop me from buying gas from them. The fact that my truck seems to prefer Shell is why I don't buy my gas from them. On the other hand the closest gas station to me is a Citgo and I often buy snacks and drinks there.

I guess in some people's book, that means Citgo desreves our support...:barf: :barf: :barf:

The funny thing is that people complain so much about buying from companies that support causes they don't like...yet they have no idea who makes many of the products they use every day. To be honest most people would be without their most basic needs if they never spent a penny on antigun companies or companies in communist or socialist nations.

I wonder how everyone here feels knowing that the majority of the components in their computers were made in communist nations? Or that everyone running Windows has fed money to Bill Gates who supported a piece of antigun legislation to the tune of a couple hundred grand.

oooooOOOOooooo

It's true.
HOWEVER, we have to buy gas from someone, and Saudi Arabia is the largest seller to us, I think. They are also the largest supporter of terrorism against us and terror groups against us. The majority of the population in SA hates the ruling family and favors Bin Laden. If we're going to have to buy gas, who is worse, Venezuela or Saudi Arabia? 11 of the people in 9/11 were SAs. The majority of the detainees at Guantanomo Bay are SAs.

SA factions are larger supporters of terrorism against us than most of the others put together.

By all means, boycott Citgo. Don't support that socialist in Venezuela.

Buy from a company that gets its oil from a democracy in the Middle East.

Which would be uh... er... hmm...

Top Crude Oil Importing Countries

Interesting info on who we get our oil imports from. Click HERE. Believe it or not, Canada is #1, followed by Mexico, Saudi Arabia,Venezuela and Nigeria.

Alcohol is the answer to anti-gunners?

Don't want to get on oil, but.........drive slower, more economical engines, engines that run on ethanol, hydrogen, used cooking oil or whatever, walking, bikes and public transportation are a few things that I can think of as ways of reducing our consumption/demand/dependence/addiction. I have always thought that it was good to let the M.E. sell us their oil until the supply ran out and then let them eat sand. Don't get me off on Gates, he wants to rule the world, but first dis-arm the peasants, it's easier that way.

CITGO is anti Second Amendment and anti American, hell to quote Randy Neuman, even though he meant it as satirical, "Let's drop the big one, they'll be no one left to hate us then". Yeah we have pulled the world for years and they all hate us for it and are taking advantage of us, and some of the very rich take advantage of that.

I grew up in the days of the cold war, they taught us in grade school that if we saw a bright flash it was probably an Atomic attack from the Soviet Union and we were to, "Duck and cover". I now have a Baikal shotgun in my gun safe. It irks me about the Saudi's too! And I get a little sick every time I pick up something to buy and it says, "Made in China" on it. It's a screwed up world, to quote a signature I saw somewhere, "Where are we going? And why are we in this handbasket?

But CITGO, Gates, and any others that I know are anti Second Amendment or anti American, one in the same to me, are not going to get one penny of mine if I can help it. I do the best that I can as an individual to find out who makes what and what they stand for, or against, so I do have some idea. Will it solve all our problems? No! But I feel better about myself.

I carry a handgun that I pray I will never use off of the range. Life is full of contradictions.

I answer Brady Bunch's surveys with my point of view. I send the Florida Legislature, (I live in Texas), emails supporting the right to have a legally owned firearm locked in your private vehicle, I do all I can to support the NRA-ILA financially and with my time and effort.

Just my two cents worth, I stand ready for the rotten tomatoes.

 and you're right, once the mid east runs out of oil - which will probably happen but there are suggestions that it might not  - things could change a lot. then again it may not be as much of a bargaining chip by then

That's why everyone should build their own computer and use the Linux OS. No money going to any corporation there, unless you get a boxed, sold-in-stores version like Red Hat.
