Another opinion request - Sig 245

I came across a great deal on a NIB Sig 245 with two factory mags ($450). I've never shot this model before but have handled it; seems to fit my hand very well.

Any body out there have experience with the 245 and what do you think? I've got to move on this FAST, so your prompt responses would truly be appreciated.

Thanks!

That sounds like a good deal, I'd buy it. I think they usually go for about $550-600. The fit/finish is typical Sig and I've heard accuracy is very good for a small .45; haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. It doesn't fit my hand as well as it could because the grip is so short, but if it fits yours, you might want to jump on it. Sig P220 mags fit into it also.
HTH some.

Is it really new-in-the-box? That's a good price if used, but if new it's outstanding! New, or even used in 98+%, I'd jump on it without hesitation. If it had some decent holster wear, that would be about the right price. About a month ago, I almost bought a 245 with night sights NIB for $650, but the Glock 30 won. The 245 is still on the list though, and I'd love to find one at that kind of price. So, in case you couldn't tell, I'd vote for "get it".

If it's NIB and from a reputable shop or private seller I wouldn't hesitate a second. Lowest price I've seen is $585.

So many pistols, so little money.

I have the same problem as KOG, the shortened pistol grip doesn't allow me to get a firm grip on the Sig 245. I don't own one, but I have fired one. I found it difficult control during double taps with full power defense ammo, since I couldn't get a good grip on it. Othwerwise the gun was typical Sig - good fit and finish, accurate too...
