Another legality question

This has probably been answered before but after doing a few searches, I'm still confused.

I have a post ban Hungarian AK that came with a thumbhole stock. There is no threaded barrel, flash surpressor, bayonet lug, or any of the other evil things except for the magazine.

I want a fixed stock and pistol grip which by my understanding, would make the evil feature number come to 2. I am under the impression that 2 happens to be the magic number and the rifle should be good. No different than my AR.

Yet for some reason there's a bad feeling in my gut about this...

Your AK is an imported rifle, therefore allowed no evil features.(Makes the rifle safer, "for the children" :) ) The AR is a domestic rifle and is allowed one evil feature. You can still have a pistol grip stock on your AK, just make it an American made rifle-in the eyes of BATF. The rifle must have less than 10 imported parts. Kits are available I got mine for my Maadi through Soupbowel Enterprises-try them you'll like it.

Hope this helps
