Another help me choose thread (9mm ccw)

I am looking to buy a concealed carry 9mm pistol and I am torn between the following:

- XDs
I have an XDM in 45ACP that I really like. The XDs looks like a good option, especially with it being single stack.

- Glock 26
I have never shot a Glock 26 but besides the double stack being in the negative column it seems like a great option.

- CZ 2075 RAMI
I have a 9mm CZ-75 BD and it is probably my favorite pistol. The RAMI looks like a great CCW pistol, albeit double stack.

- LC9s
Is a pocket pistol the ticket? I like Ruger pistols in general but is the LC9s too small?

I wish I could buy all four of them but I can't. I would be carrying occasionally, not all the time. Ease of concealment / comfort is a factor but of course, push comes to shove, performance is too.

Any advice on these specific pistols?

I pocket carry and, oddly enough, the G26 is the only one that fits out of those. The reason is the height - it's the shortest one , even though it is thicker. These aren't on your list, but you might consider the Kahr nines. I have a CM9 for the pocket and its bigger brother the P9.

Well since the Shield isn't on the list...

The LC9s would make a nice CC, at 17oz it's still pretty large compared to the LCP for pocket carry.

If I didn't have the Shield in 9mm, I'd probably give the Ruger a shot, I've never been disappointed by any ruger. Plus it's almost half the cost of the Springer.

Definitely the CZ. Those are some nice guns. Second choice XDs.

Personally, I wouldn't consider the Glock or Ruger, of course YMMV.

It's curious to me that you think the LC9s might be too small, but don't think that about the XDS.

The XDS is heavier, but other than that they're pretty close to the same size.

(The LC9S' problem is that it's too new.)

Had a Glock 26, got rid of it and have a RAMI on the way. I myself have a couple of different CZ's (and clones), and they simply have better ergos and shoot better for me. Nothing wrong with Glocks, just not my personal preference.

Joe brought up a good point; check out the Kahr's!

RAMI! The others wouldn't make my list.

I have one 9. A DB9, and it's my wife's, so I only get it on range trips. Definitely the smallest... As small as a Kahr 380.

Shield 9mm. I have gone through 7 carry guns in the past 4 years and can't see myself finding anything better for carry than the S&W Shield. I suspect I will be carrying this one for a long time.

As far as the Glock 26, if I wanted to carry something that bulky I would move up to the 19.

Thanks all for the feedback and suggestions. Looks like I'll have to check out the S&W Shield and the Kahrs as well.

Just can't say enough good things about the S&W Shield 9mm. This is just one of those guns where everything is "right." The gun is accurate. The recoil is extremely manageable, enabling me to get back on target very quickly after each shot. The gun is totally reliable, and it is very easy to break down and clean. This is my main carry gun.

I carried a Shield for quite a while. Then, my wife decided she wanted it. I now carry an XDS in 45. I like it, but if S&W came out with a Shield in 45, I'd be first in line to buy one. To me, the Shield just feels better than the XDS. I have no experience with the new LC9S, but it also looks pretty apealing.

I wanted one ...until I shot it ..... trigger was pretty nasty.

Not as bad as a SIGMA ..... but not good.

Ruger's sR9c would be a better choice than any of the above, IMO.

I too would pitch a vote for the CZ. I have the CZ 75 D PCR and love the thing. The full size is great for range and stomping around in the sticks type carry.

Which ever one you go with- don't short change yourself with a cheap holster. One with even a little quality goes a long ways for carry comfort and confidence.

well XDS wins in terms of ease of concealment, but don't expect it to be nearly as fun to shoot or as accurate as your XDM, the triggers aren't nearly as nice and with the XDS45 the best group I was able to get was about 6 inches at 7 yards... not very good. going with something closer in size to the others, an XDM9 compact would be a much better option in my opinion on everything except concealability.
