I've had mixed results with these. Some of my guns are indifferent, but for several, I get my best groups with the copper wonders. That's the case here.
I had tasked myself with comparing an old load for 200 Nosler Accubond with a more recent workup of 210 Barnes TTSX (.338 Win Mag). I forgot I had remounted the scope, then thought to check the stock screws (my biggest complaint with the Savage 116), and I pretty much frittered away the 20 Noslers I'd brought. They do well, though.
The gun was pretty hot, but I had 5 of the Barnes with me. I had previously shot a 1" group with them, so I wasn't really testing. Banged off the 5 in about 2 minutes. These things just shoot. I think the high one was me. These magnums, you know, make everyone flinch. And I was protected only by a T shirt. Seriously, the 200s and 210s have noticeably less recoil than 250s. I think I'll be loading Barnes 210s unless I'm after something that might eat me.
