anodize harder than nickle

Hey folks, I was just wondering about the hardness and durability of anodize verses nickle. I have a keltec receiver that is aluminum and was wondering how I could both make the thing more durable against the steel slide and have a semi lubricating surface to make it last longer. Thanks...
 
I would say Nickle would be harder and would have provide a slicker surface than anodize. You might want to research the newer finishes like TiN, NP3, ect.
 
Kel Tekee, the only thing you can do is anodize your alloy frame. Unless my rememberer ain't working right this morning you can't plate aluminum. George
