Anmo for FN 5-7

Ok. I put down a deposit for an FN Five Seven. I have always wanted one, and I would like to know recommendations on ammunition to get.

Purposes: Plinking, Self/Home Defense

I don't care about cost of ammo.

Are there options for reloading?

Checkout Vanguard Outfitters for custom ammo.

In stores you will find either American Eagle or FNH ammo. Academy, Cabela's or Bass Pro usually always have a few boxes in either 40 or 27 grain.

Your option are very decidedly limited. 5.7 FN is only loaded by Hornady and FN. Currently, FN ammo is not available via Midway. 40 grain FMJ only at $23.99 per 50 with a rebate available for the Hornady. No brass.
No ammo or brass, at all, from Graf's.
Cabela's claims to have both brands though. Suggest you buy as much as you can afford. They're listing a 300 round box for $154.99. 600 for $289.99.
Midway has Hornady die sets on sale at $43.99. Rebate available for that too. Until 31 Dec. Lyman 3 die set runs $41.99. Uses a #45 RCBS shell holder. #15 from Lee. #37 Hornady.
No load data on Hodgdon's site. Lots on Reloader's Nest.

The best place to buy 5.7 ammo is Palmetto State Armory, they regularly run the FN/Hornady .40gr ammo for $17.99 a box and the American Eagle for $14.99. Right now they're running a special on the FN/Hornady stuff - $17.99 a box, free shipping if you order 10 boxes. They're the only place I buy 5.7 ammo from.
