This subject came up in another thread, with MusclesMcGee. That thread is understandably locked, but I do want to mention this ... it might help someone.
While not a real common condition, it is also not uncommon for men and women to have thyroid problems. If you have a quick temper, rapid metabolism / weight loss, and seem to have a high body heat, you could have a thyroid condition.
The thyroid has a great deal of impact on how you feel - emotions, metabolism, weight gain / loss, memory, speech, muscles and vision.
Saw a fellow one time who had received 2 or 3 speeding tickets in as many days, combative, etc. He was hyper-thyroid. His doctor actually testified for him in court regarding his mental / physical state.
So, this is of little interest to most folks, but no kidding ... if you're hot-tempered, and especially if it seems to be getting worse or out of character (sometimes so gradual, hard to know that), then get a physical. This is an odd physical quirk that many don't know about. It can be successfully treated.
Conversely, if you're always dragging, have memory and vision problems, etc., then you might be 'hypo-thyroid' - the reverse condition.
I know this isn't a medical discussion group, but tempers and attitudes have definite self defense / CCW implications, IMHO.
