I nearly got thrown out of the library for the various gagging noises I made after reading this vomit-inducing quote in the current Newsweek "quotes" section: "It's hard to shine when you're standing next to the sun." David Axelrod, a Democratic strategist in Chicago, on why Al Gore and Hillary Clinton are distancing themselves from the president as they launch their respective campaigns. If it came from the Republicans, you'd KNOW that it was sarcasm, but this guy? Geez, he makes Carville look good.
