All,
Well, it looks as though my prediction is starting to become true. I'm not writing this simply to say "I told you so." Rather, I'm here to ask what are we prepared to do next???
See the post dated January 19, 2000 entitled "Sig Statement at Shot Show."

All,
I hate to say this, but I knew this was coming two years ago. Do all of you remember the rumor about Sig's supposed statement that the Sig P226 would no longer be available to civilians?
I remember noticing shortly before that (a year or two) Sig stopped sending the Sig Quarterly magazine to my house. After several inquiries concerning my missed issues, I learned that Sig was no longer providing/publishing their fine magazine at least for civilian readership.
I also recall watching the content of the SigArms Quarterly slowly turn from general Sig information (ads, articles, etc) geared to everybody to a Police and Military target audience only.
When I learned of the P226 rumor, I knew all sales to civilians would soon follow. To date I've owned 3 Sigs. One P226 and two P220s. Frankly, I decided that if Sig no longer sought my money, I wouldn't buy from them. My latest firearms purchases have been from companies are U.S. owned and entirely built in the U.S.A.
I know none of what I'm about to write next is going to please anybody here either. You should all fully expect all of the firearms manufacturers to stop selling to civilians very shortly. We will see one or two holdouts for a time, but they will all give in.
I know, I know... Surely Glock will still sell to us. Surely Springfield Armory will still sell to us. Surely Ruger will still sell to us. Surely??? What makes you so sure???????
Believe me when I say this. If the Attorneys and Accountants scare the owners of these companies badly enough (re: lawsuits and losses). All of them will stop marketing firearms and use all of that fine machinery to build mountain bikes, camping gear, motor home equipment, etc, etc, etc.
Does any of the above sound like anybody you know??? Smith & Wesson maybe? I hope I'm proven wrong, but I believe we will see Smith & Wesson fold with respect to its firearms sales within the next 2-3 years. The writing is on the wall folks. God I hope I'm wrong.

Those of you who haven't joined GOA, NRA, etc. Do so--NOW! Second, vote. Third, buy that next gun now (ammo too). Fourth, watch your own behavior. Don't do dumb things with your firearms. These are my personal commitments. Does anybody else have suggestions?
