And now for the good news

My Remington 710 .30-06 was easily getting 1'' groups at 100 yds with the cheap 150 gn Winchester ammo I bought at K-Mart(which was actually cheaper than Wal-mart for once---I work close to the K-mart----anyway). I was getting good groups immediately and had them dialed in within 10 rounds. This rifle was only $329 complete with scope----while my buddy's $1000 Custom Shop Alaskan Wilderness Rifle with a Zeiss scope won't hit the broad side of a barn. AMAZING!

My new little T/C .22 Classic was getting 1'' groups at 50 yds using the iron sights (no scope until I can find some decent scope bases----not that crappy one T/C is offering). This is with me barely being able to see the target as my older eyes are needing glasses now. I was using the cheap Remington Golden Bullet hollowpoints from Wally's----the bulk pack stuff. Again---AMAZING!

That IS good news!

My high dollar Kimber .22 thinks it has to have the high dollar target grade ammo to give great results while my old Marlin 39-A likes the cheaper stuff.

Maybe our "blueblood" firearms think they're too good to use the economy ammo! Congrats on your good fortune and marksmanship!
