An SW question

I see SW is releasing a new wave of revolvers called the SC line with Scandium in the frames for lightweight. One is an SW 386 which I assume to be a light weight 686.

Is this a new gun? I admit not being up on the legalties of the agreement but doesn't it have to have an external safety or whatever?

Granted it is a revolver. Help my ignorance.

It will probably cost $200 over the SS guns and given the bad PR - it will do very well?

:)

Scandium is, IINM, lighter than titanium. Given the Snivel&Whine's Airweight is an abusive little turd even with standard pressure .38 Specials, I'd have to steer well clear of this new one. Besides, they'll have hell finding a way to sell it, what with RSR telling Ed Schultz to shove his guns up his arse. ;)

I've held one of these. Notwithstanding the S__ & Worthless sell out, no way in hell I'd ever fire one. It would hurt beyond belief, even with light loads.

Where are you guys finding all of these neat little toys. I was at the gunshop yesterday to buy ammo, targets and look into a P229 in .357SIG and I didn't see any of this new SC line that you're talking about. Is it on their web page? Can you post a like?
