I had one just like that a couple years ago, but it was missing the front sight. I soldered in a piece of a copper penny and it came out looking pretty good and shot fair, but a friend was admiring it and I gave it to him.

Nice find! Looks to be in decent shape as well . . . these vintage revolvers make good plinkers - solidly built and will provide lots of fun! :)

Good ole' guns.
Is that the one where the cylinder pin has to be removed to take out the cylinder for reloading?
If so, I once had a twin.

Yes..I believe so....and brass blade front sight....

Thanks for the comments....It probably won't be shot much....I just thought it was interesting....

Looks to be a First Model, made 1932 until 1941, 13,100 of the first model were made.

Thanks RJ....I will check the serial number...It is at the bottom of the trigger guard....

Check on the left grip frame, If it is a First Model the serial number will be repeated there along with the prefix M.

RJ.... The serial # is 7826.... The prefix is hard to read.... It is on the underside of the trigger guard..... I wasn't sure about this dropping the cylinder to load.... But it is smooth and easy....
