I was looking to trade my Kel Tec P-11 with chrome slide for a 99% Kahr K9 Elite (night sites would be a plus.) I was at the local gun show in Nashville this weekend and I was really discouraged while looking through the regulars.
As you might know, the used Kahrs are awfully hard to find, but i am a dreamer!
At the LAST table with pistols on it, I saw what I thought was my Holy Grail! It was a Kahr K9 Elite with night sites. I looked at the neon green tag on the box (with ALL the paper work, warranty card and extra mag inside) and it said $450. I was pretty excited for the price to begin with. (Actually didn't know it was an elite OR had night sites until a little later.) I asked him if he was taking any trades on this gun andhe asked what I had. I offered him my KelTec P-11 ( a few extras, but used!) and he offered me te Kel Tec and $225 will take the Kahr home...
I jumped on it SO fast his head spun. Afterwards, I thought that if he actually didn't know what he had, I might have been able to get it lower than that, but I willtake the deal. The kicker was that I gave $175 for the Kel Tec and eventually had it replaced by KelTec for a brand new one...
I love how things turn out. I am VERY anxious to take this baby to the range this week and see how sweet the Elite set up is.
