An amusing story

Psalm 144:1

New member
I live in a southern state. When I was 20 years old my father,a career LEO passed away and left me his gun collection. I waited nearly a year to get old enough to apply for a pistol license. Since the minimum age was 21, and the local sherriff`s department required a two week waiting period for background check/cooling off period, I showed up at the sherriff`s office two weeks before my twenty-first birthday to fill out my application. The sherriff himself happenned to walk past on the other side of the counter as I was writing away, reached over, turned the sheet around so that he could read it, and asked,"Are you(my dad`s name`s) boy? Surprised,I replied that yes I was.Shifting his enormous cud of chewing tobacco to the opposite cheek,he then inquired, "Them the same guns?" Again I replied in the affirmative. Without another word, he signed the application in the appropriate blank that signified approval and less than ten minutes later I left the courthouse with my permit, humming Happy Birthday to myself under my breath. Out of respect for the regard in which he held my father and to keep everyone out of trouble, I waited that loooong two weeks before I began carrying, and now you all know the secret twenty-two years later!

great

That is really wonderful.

It seems that, no matter where you go, LEO's and their families have a great respect for each other, and do great things to help out.
