AMT Lightning and Ruger 10/22 interchangeable?

I've been offered to buy an AMT Lightning .22 rifle, which the current owner claims is
so identical to the Ruger 10/22 that finding spare parts will never be a problem.

Anyone with any experience here? Are they that similar?

(Here in Norway we'll be seing a lot of changes in the firearms law over newyear, so
I'm getting a .22 with (Butler Creek) folding stock and silencer , as well as silencers for the rest of my guns, while I still can. Our lawmakers have been watching too many scary Hollywood movies ... Hasn't been a murder involving a silencer here since WWII.)

Heck, there hasn't been a bayonetting in Maryland since 1864, but that hasn't stopped the governor from wanting to ban bayonet lugs on rifles.

Yes and no. If its a 22lr yes to all parts being interchangeable. If it's 22mag ,the receiver, bolt and mags are different. I'm pretty sure the trigger assembly on doth are exactly the same.Email me if you get a chance I'd like to know if you can still get high capacity mags at a decent price for the 10-22
