Amt dao .45 acp

Fairly new to this board. Questions on the AMT DAO .45 ACP. I had new one once, bought AGAINST the advice of my trusted FFL. Sure enough it was a jam-O-matic. It shot really hard. Of course it was small. Bought a used one later on; still shot hard but was reliable. Sold it in a bit of domestic discord. I liked the small size. This was before the recent tiny guns of all calibers. Which of these new small 45's might fill the spot of the old AMT. If I could find another reliable AMT, at a reasonable price I'd buy it. But for money spent I would like to not GAMBLE on a good firearm. I rely on a full size Para DAO (fine shooter) now and would like to "shrink the size a bit. Thanks.

Cyanide971 is right. I have an AMT DAO 45 that works very well.
If I was going to get a compact 45 now it would be the XDS.

Heck, just saw an old AMT .45 in a pawn shop the other day...they sell pretty quick :)

Other Options...
S&W CS45, or Shield in .45
