I recently purchased a used AMT Automag III, but it came without the manual. I plan to contact Galena to see about getting one, but since there is a holiday in the way, does anyone know how to get it apart? I managed to pull the slide lock pin, which separates the slide/barrel/guide rod/spring assembly from the frame, but I would like to get the barrel off to clean it (previous owner liked to use grease and it is caked everywhere).

I thought to treat it like a 1911 type, since it appears to have a bushing, but the guide rod sticks out enough that there is no way to rotate the bushing (the barrel and bushing move when the guide rod is pushed in). Even with the slide off, the guide rod cannot come out, since the slide is in the way (cannot bend the guide rod). The guide rod does not appear to unscrew.

Any ideas? Thanks.
