AMT 380 backup assembly problem

I have an older AMT 380 backup, and I took it down further than I should have for cleaning. I have it back together but the grip safety will not compress so I can fire the weapon. I can see that the internal edge of the grip safety in interfering with the trigger mechanism, but for the life of me I can not figure what I have done wrong assembling the weapon. Anyone run into the same problem and have an answer what I did wrong?

My guess is that your gun in the older simi auto that seemed to have a lot of problems.

You could contact them and ask-all they can do is hang up.

I found a site that is like an AMT blog and they might be able to give you some directions.
