Ammo

Is Russian, Wolf ammo a good quality? Have a chance to pick up 1000 rounds for around $100. Thanks jeffer.

What caliber is it?

That's a good price for 1000 rounds of just about any caliber. Around here, you can't get Wolf 7.62X39 ammo for that price. If that's what you're buying, go for it and get me a case too. Like Coinneach says, be sure to clean your gun really well when you're done shooting.

Of course, you probably do that all the time anyway, right? :)

Around here Wolf FMJ or HP goes for around $125 - $130 per 1000 rounds, sometimes more.

Are you picking this up, or is it mail order? I can think of about 2,000 or more close personal friends that might be interested in this deal if it is mail order. ;)

I get special deal offering through email from Scott. Hows $93./1K rounds sound to you???

Oh, BTW, it's wolf brand..

Only got one reply about this place, not good.
Thanks for the tip on shooterz. If you don’t
mind me asking how much was shipping?

Jeffer, if I recall correctly, the Packin'&Fondlin' was somewhere @$12-$14/box of 1K rds.
Fairly decent stuff to shoot with. The date of manufacture of mine was December of 1999.

Maybe I'd flubbed up, but I get the email specials from Scott. And the price was better than the $92/K I'd mentioned, but can't find the email to tell ya correctly...
At any rate it's a heck of a deal.
Seems like the Russian money troubles are to our benefit. :) :) :)

FYI--The 'Cheaper than Dirt' flyer that I got in the mail the other day had the Wolf 7.62x39 stuff for $90-something for 1000 rounds.

Remember, just because you are not paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you!

The 4th and 5th of this month, there was a gun show in Sacramento. One of the exhibitors was selling various ammo at "wholesale" prices. The had Wolf FMJ and JHP 7.62x39 for $87.50/1000rds plus tax. It was brand new manufacture and in sealed cases. They must have had at least three dozen cases there, and said that if they started to run low, there was more "out in the truck". As for quality, it seems to be a little better than the "surplus-style" Russian ammo in the old wooden cases that was so popular a couple of years ago, but still dirtier than most of the major US brands. They also claim that it stores well.
