Ammo shortage and training

Decades ago there was a Japanese National that practiced with an airsoft and then came over here and won a competition.

rat-holed enough ammo for 3 years of regular shooting. 5 years if i ration it a bit. Rat-holed enough materials for reloading another 4 years of ammo.

Learn to rat-hole ammo and learn to reload. Do it now so when the next panic-induced drought hits you won't be sitting there wondering where to get really over-priced ammo.

In the meantime, look at alternative shooting products, like air-pistols, laser training products like iTarget, SIRT pistol, etc.

Take up archery, it will help your hand/eye coordination; same for clay target sports - plenty of shotgun target ammo around

.22lr, handgun and rifle. If you weren't able to stockpile before, you can still find .22lr ammo. You might have to pay .10 to .12 cents a round, but that's still probably cheaper than any salad days pricing on centerfire ammo.

Air pistols are fantastic for practicing sight picture, trigger control, and follow-through.

Air pistols are also quite cheap to shoot, and you may be able to practice in the backyard or even indoors.
