Ammo question

Hi folks, I recently bought some 230gr +P Corbon ammo and when I got home I noticed that about halfway down the casing where the bullet ends there is a VERY noticeable crimp or line on all the rounds.

I looked at some of my other rounds 230gr Federal FMJ and 185gr Gold dots and while the line is there I'd say it's atleast half as large. Is this a corbon quirck or did I get a bad batch?

If its a serrated groove then its a case cannelure. A case cannulure is commonly used on some cartridge loadings to prevent bullet setback.

Shawn is right.

It's a good thing, at least I think so. Set-back can happen and your crimp prevents that.
