Ammo & Gun Ban?

I received a rather incoherent e-mail, almost a rant, from Cole Distributing this morning about Clinton and his gang trying to use the State Dept. to circumvent the legislative process by banning foreign guns and ammo that were made "with U.S. technology".
Although the e-mail cited rumors all over the internet and at the recent S.H.O.T. show, this is the first I've heard of it. Can anyone out there shed any light on this?

Karanas...
Not sure which ban you are referring to. There is the "9mm ban" being discussed. If you forward that e-mail to me I'll dig around.
On the topic of Clinton circumventing the legislative process, check this out....looks like some Congress critters are waking up from hibernation

And this is unrelated but here is more bad news from Washington

And I thought that Alaska was tougher than that to knuckle under to the Fed for welfare money... what a shame that the states are so stuck on the government's teat that they have sold their birth-right for a bowl of porriage (sp?).

I was in the neighborhood yesterday afternoon, so I stopped by my local gun merchant. I asked if any of his cases of PMC target ammo were on sale (he advertises specials weekly). He was fuming! I didn't get the entire picture, but he indicated that some sort of ban on ammo imported from Korea had gone into effect. He said that the rational for this ban is that it is a national security issue, or something like that. I went ahead a bought a case of 9mm for around $35 more than the last time I had bought it there. Does anybody know about this?
