Ammo for 1894 Mauser Carbine

I would like to get suggestions on brand and vendor for 7 by 57 MM Mauser ammo to be used in my 1894 Spanish Mauser Carbine. This calibre is expensive but Sellier and Bellot seems to have the best price. Any comments?

Thanks,

My family has one that I think is the same type you are talking about (it bounces around between us brothers). We just shoot the regular Remington 7mm Mauser rounds (green and yellow box) through it. Maybe $7 to $10 for 20 rounds. Works just fine.

Maybe I'm missing something in your question. Just shoot anything with "7mm Mauser" or "7x57" marked on the box. I doubt any of the standard factory loads will give you a problem. It is a fairly common caliber. New guns are made in it for deer hunting because many hunters like the low recoil and flat enough trajectory and just the right amount of power. Not everybody hotrods up to the 7mm Rem Magnum cartridge.
