is buckshot a absolute need if you were attacked. say people rioting and it spills into your house or something. in other words allot of people. would you rather have 50 rounds of 12guage 2 3/4 buckshot for around 50 to 60 bucks or would for the same money you have 250 rounds of 12 guage 2 3/4 bird shot.. lets say number 4,5, or 6. 4 is probably more practical imo. what would you choose and why??
 
SHTF threads are not apropos, but to answer your question...use whatever you have on hand - if you are worrying about 250 people coming in and it is not a friendly party, then you should have evacuated a ling time ago
 
The growing number of topics like this make it seem that people want trouble. Trouble they probably couldn't handle in real life.
 
If 50 rounds of 00 buck won't fix it, it's trouble that 250 rounds of birdshot won't fix. It would have long since been rifle time, and even then you won't be surviving it.

The ravaging hordes are nothing that can be withstood by yourself, no matter what you might have on hand.
 
No 4 is not birdshot. More than a couple deer have been killed by no 4 shot.

I have several boxes of reloaded #4 birdshot that I reloaded a few decades ago........there is a chart on shot sizes, you might want to look at it.......there IS a #4 birdshot, as there is a #2.................:rolleyes:
