Does anyone know where you can pick these up besides an army surplus store? I'd rather hand pick a couple than buy them online. Also, would it be a good idea to toss a desiccant pack in each one for long term storage?

In my area... One of the aluminum and steel supply yards also carry ammo boxes... If you search some of the online retailers including, www.sportsmansguide.com do as well....

Franklin Gun Shop Inc. here in Athens has a boatload, in a huge variety of sizes, and cheap. I paid $5.00 for an 800 count .223 box (empty, of course).

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check Franklin's out one of these days. Someone I know suggested Tractor Supply Company and said he'd bought some there once. Their website doesn't show them though.
