Hey guys. Although it will be a while before I save up enough Im in the market for a 1911 in 10mm. The biggest thing Im looking for is American made, but the only american made 1911 in 10mm is the delta elite which doesnt have a fully supported cylinder. Just looking to start reading/researching to make a decision.

I was checking out the Iver Johnson but its made in the Philippines.

Uh, no.

I am pretty sure the Dan Wesson 10mm is made in USA even though owned by CZ.

Wilson makes 10mms and I am certain they are US made and owned.
Les Baer, too. Guncrafter, also.
Phew, I am tired of looking at catalogs, but that will get you started. You will have to save up, those are more expensive guns than the DE or Pacific Rim copies, but they are fine quality.

Wilson Combat has a couple of models that they make in 10mm including the CQB and Hunter models...check their online catalog, I think there are others too.

If I wanted a 10mm, that's the route I would take.

STI make the Nitro 10 in a 1911, and the Perfect 10 in a 2011 (double stack) model.

Wilson, Nighthawk, Dan Wesson, Les Baer, Kimber, Guncrafter, SVI all make 10mm 1911's.

If you want to pay for a custom gun, then that opens up more options as most custom gunsmiths will build you a 10mm 1911.

You missed the boat by a few years. My DW razorback was $699 NIB.
They have since moved up, a touch.
I think the first 150 were order and wait, $599

Two of my better gun days were the day I got my Delta Elite and the day I sold the gun. I absolutely had to have a Colt Delta Elite when Colt came out with the gun. The gun was great for about the first 1,500 rounds. When it got to 2,000 rounds the accuracy sucked and the gun rattled. The 10mm factory loads, nothing really hot, literally beat that 1911 frame all to heck and back. Really sucked as I liked the 10mm round. Never found the recoil to be punishing. That said I was real happy when a friend wanted the gun and gave me about what I had in it. Based on that experience I would be reluctant to get another 1911 gun chambered in 10mm. It just spooked me.
