Amendment 28!

We need a Congressman to introduce Amendment 28 to the US Constitution:
to clarify the 2nd Amendment and make it 100% clear that all non felon Americans have a right to carry concealed handguns for self defense. That this right, an individual right and no laws on any government level may be passed which could infringe on this right. That no license or permit is required to carry a concealed handgun. That no private business or property owner can stop anyone from carrying a concealed handgun on their property. That everyone is treated equally, no more special priveledged classes of people, such as LEO, retired LEO, politicians, etc.. get to carry while others cannot. No borders, all 50 states and its territories must allow concealed carry.
 
jkkimberfan, it would be nice if that was the way it went down. Problem is, when the Constitution is opened anything can happen. A Con-Con(Constitutional Convention) is a dangerous thing and should, IMHO, be avoided.:)

If an amendment such as one that you mentioned became reality, I would move away.

The moment I no longer have a say as to what happens on MY property I lost.

Also if all states MUST do something...what happens to the powers of that state? If theres one source of power (Federal) we all have lost.
 
Good points, Beretta. I didn't see the idea of property rights and states rights being dissolved. You're right.:)

I 100% agree.

To the others. It is not an infringement to allow a person to be armed on their person. There is no threat to simply have a gun. That would be like saying that I could not wish that Nazi pelosi would go away to some communist country where they would lover her ideas. I can think that and say that all day long........it's called the 1st amd.

I think the 2nd amd just needs to be ratified and rewritten to ensure no ambiguity by any socialist. If the 2nd amd was ratified then the it would apply to the states via the 14th amd equal protection clause.....which could be rewritten too if need be.

4 Responses and, already, Godwin's Law realized. All in a post nearly indecipherable for spelling, grammar and outright lack of basic understanding of the differences between Fascists and Socialists and the workings of the Constitution of the United States of America as it applies to States Rights.

Who'da thunk it, right here on TFL?
