Am I wrong or did the FL SC just snub

their nose at the US SC?

Their spokesman just issued a statement that the decision vacted by the SC and sent back was well rooted in FL law. If that is all their is without back up, they are telling the SC to bug off.

Well, it seemed that way to me, too... I just heard Jim Angle on Fox News read parts of the new ruling and they are still stretching credibility.

What they are now saying is that the real deadline for certification was 10 days after the election, not 7 days as Florida statute states, since the overseas ballots were not due until 10 days after the election (a federal law).

Furthermore, since the SecState declared that ammended recount results were no longer accepted 8 days after the election, they (the FLA SC) were simply "giving the time back" (the remaining 2 or 3 days) to the canvassing boards.

As Jim Angle said, parodying the FLA SC, "we only rewote the law for this one election, so it's OK."

Pretty weak...

Yup.
And it did not go unnoticed by Sandra Day O'Connor today. She commented about it and I don't think she was happy.

Ruth Ginsberg is, at this moment, chewing the words from the previous SCOTUS case:
Don't you think we owe the highest respect to the Florida Supreme Court....yada, yada, yada

Yes, Ms. Bader Gee, I do. But my opinion doesn't count...the Florida Supreme Court has, OTOH, demonstrated it's respect for your venerable institution. 'Nuff said. :D
