All votes MUST count!!

The FLSC says that FL should count all UNDERVOTES. If the mantra "All votes must be counted" then why didn't they tell them to count all the "OVERVOTES". For those of you not familiar, "OVERVOTES" are the ballots that have more than one 'chad' punched for president. There are over 120,000 OVERVOTES that have not been counted. I heard a Democrat whine "How can we determine the 'will of the voter' if they punched two holes for president?" Why, the same way they did in Broward (and other counties) when they didn't punch a hole in the ballot at all. If they voted a straight Democratic ticket, then the vote goes for Gore. IF they voted straight Republican ticket, then the vote goes for Bush. Bush would pick up thousands of votes ahead of Gore. So, if the mantra "ALL VOTES MUST COUNT" is to be adheared to in the stictest manner, then we should be counting ALL VOTES, not just the undervotes, which supposedly favor Gore, we should count the overvotes, which supposedly favor Bush.

Of course, I say the count is long over, and Bush won. The rest is sour grapes.

First off - The Mantra is Bull Crap. Its just a screen for them to pick and choose. They are not COUNTING VOTES. They are CREATING VOTES.
Big Difference.

Ahem, they mean, "All Democratic Votes Must Count" even if we have to punch the damn things ourselves while we're "counting" them!

If all undervotes in Florida are to be counted per the FLSC, then under Federal equal protection and due process law, would not ALL undervotes in the USA have to be counted for those voting precincts that use punch card ballots?

That probably would be at least 1000 counties out of about 3000 plus counties nationwide. I wonder if the US Supreme Court thought about that yet? It could become a world of endless lawsuits.

This is not my idea. Saw it hinted at on ABC's Good Morning America this morning.

According to the Washington Post, there were 2.5 million uncounte/undervotes in the nation this year.

Equal protection is one of the things that they are apparently looking at, as no single uniform standard exists for determining just what constitutes a vote when the undervotes are examined in Florida.

If the Supreme Court allows this to happen, I personally would like to see someone file a lawsuit demanding that all 2.5 million of these be counted.

If there was a way to actual count true votes, sure.
But in this mess, the chance of foul play is too high.

Did you hear that after the election, Dade county in IL
sold its machines to Russia. They held an election and
Mayor Daley won.

EG:

I wonder if Russia would be good enough to take him? I'm sure there are a lot of people in Illinois that would be glad to see him go. :)
