Alien Gear IWB for 1911

Have any of you tried this holster? It looks pretty nice and is priced very well. Do you guys prefer carrying the full size 1911 IWB or shoulder?

I do not like mine, very bulky the outer shell is huge (wide, by design) that adds to the printing as it resists flexing. These are not suited well for medium to slender fit individuals. I don't like the new neoprene backing at all I wish I got the cheaper leather one. It went in the box as a backup holster while I wear out my Crossbreed IWB a little more. Get a Crossbreed

I have been very happy with mine but understand it is for a subcompact (Kahr CM9) so it could be a totally different ball game with a fullsize firearm.

the King Tuk uses less kydex or whatever for the shell so it might be a better holster for you. ive noticed (from pix only) that alien gear uses a lot of material for their shells....

I have one and it is nice. Will admit though its not my daily carry.
But I do work it into the mix allot in the winter.

I use the Cloak Tuck 3.0 for my Glock 19 and I love it. The quality is a step up from their 2.0 models and I don't find it overly bulky. I used the Crossbreed SuperTucks and other leather/kydex hybrids for years before going to this and I think the neoprene is more flexible, more comfortable, and isn't as affected by sweat/water as the leather/

Don't forget if you get it and don't like it you can send it back within the first 30 days for your money back minus shipping.

I just got a 3.0 for a shield, I have been carrying a glock 19 in my leather aliengear for a few years and cant imagine needing to change holsters for it for a very long time. I absolutely love mine. I do suggest the leather, after it breaks in its great and i would say more comfortable than the 3.0. but I have had my 3.0 for a week and barely used it yet. I got mine brand new in a trade or I would have never purchased the 3.0, the leather i feel will be longer lasting. Though they have a great warranty, its a pain to go without your holster for a week or so

I like the cloak tuck 3.0 for my various Glocks (19, 26, 30S, 21, and soon to be 17) just fine. I prefer the neoprene to a leather backing for comfort (the leather makes me more sweaty, I'm a sweaty guy) and squeaking (I hate squeaky holsters). I've come to prefer the Alien Gear to my Crossbreed.

I have been using a Cloak Tuck 3.0 for about 6 months and couldn't be happier. They are very comfortable and adjustable.

i use aliengear for IWB for my p99 compact.
I like it a lot. It's snug and comfortable and retains.
A 1911 is a bit larger, though, so maybe the question is "can you carry a 1911 IWB comfortably in any holster?"

I think given the design and layout, I'd probably rather have a crossbreed supertuck. pretty much the same holster with better clips.

Having owned both I'm not sure why'd you say that. Both allow options of different clips depending on what you like.
