Algore steps on his d**k (again):

For those of you who could not tolerate it:
Synopsis: * More free crap for everyone!
* The Government can do it better than you can!
* No tax relief for anyone!

About half-way through his speech, the flatulent Algore promises: "I'm gonna work to make America drug-free, and gun-free!"

Then, in the next sentence, he says, "I support the right of citizens to have guns for hunting and target shooting..."

How can you support the right to have guns, if you are working for a gun-free America?

Wasn't he trying to make America drug free when he was smoking pot like a maniac some years ago?

The pundits thought his speech was marvelous, touched the people and all the rest of the baloney.

------------------
"Get yourself a Lorcin and lose that nickel plated sissy pistol."

KAC556, I certainly agree with your first paragraph. I could already feel the great sucking sound as the tax vac attacked my wallet.

But you misheard his "promise". He said he's going to make America's schools drug-free and gun-free.

I was glad I didn't hear even more gun grabbing rhetoric in his speech. But we all know what's in his heart.

All in all, I thought his speech was too damned good. He won some points, I'm sure.

Yeah,he made a bunch of great sounding promises but failed to mention how he intended to pay for any of it.Of course the answer to that question is taxes.

These are code words used to excite the sheeple. You know what Gore meant. Let me write it down.

"I want to nationalize all industry, confiscate all firearms, and take all the money from productive people and give it to whomever will vote for me. We hold these truths to be what ever we feel like at the moment."

The gun free schools is liberal-secret-lobotomy-talk for "FOR THE CHILDREN".

Gore had to include the second statement after his long time friend, Tommy Lee Jones, revealed that the two of them use to go target shooting and hunting. He had to silence that one up front! It didn't need to make sense. He knew that others would connect the dots.

This guy is a DumpOfCrap. He is a politician. He says what his advisors tell him to say that appeals to all the hundreds of special interest groups. They all add up. It is funny how the Republican party as a whole is pretty solidified in its beliefs and is made up of individuals who are based in the original Constitution and the morals of God. There are not too many of us left compared to the immoral filth of our modern Sodom and Gomorrah. God used fire to rid the earth of the filth. Today we use guns. When Al Gore takes his family to the beach in North Carolina, do you think that he is there without protection? He has a small army there armed to the gills. When you and I go to the 7-Elevan to fill up the car with gas, are we to expect a policeman to be standing by the corner? Do the Secret Service have trigger guards on their weapons? Am I going to have to have a trigger guard on my pistol all the time? What do they teach you in the NRA Gun Safety course? You cannot rely on mechanical safety devices. That is why they teach the three basic safety rules and why we are responsible gun owners and teach our children about gun safety. Democrats are wolves in sheep's clothing. Beware!

I'd bet a lot of money that that Mega Millionaire Marxist, Tommy Lee Jones, never shot a gun with Gomer Gore, or went hunting. That was all the usual lies from a Marxist sycophant. Jones hates the Constitution just as much as Gomer Gore and Gomer's bosses, King Klinton & Queen Hilda.

By the way, wasn't Tommy Lee Jones (along with a lot of other actors) a draft dodger during the Veitnam War???? Anyone know?

Mal H,

Upon hearing it again, of course, you are correct. I find it very difficult to even listen to him speak, without screaming obsenities at the T.V.

Raise taxes so the populace has little financial freedom.

Pass new "Anti-Terrorism" laws.

Beef up the ATF even more.

Ban more guns, make registration a national requirement.

Mandate alternative fuel and electric cars, limiting the populace's movement.

Create new environmental laws making capitalism less proffitable.

Find more police actions for our military to waste it's time and blood with.

Through third parties, finance more anti gun orgs.

Now people having guns for self-defense, that's a whole different story and that is why you didn't mention it - right Al? After all, you don't need a semi-automatic rifle or handgun for hunting in Al's world.

Maybe the Democrats are realizing that the closer we get to November, that the “poison pill word” GUN CONTROL, is not helping them much except with a few far left-wingers. They seem (I could be wrong here) ready to abandon them with the toned down gun control rhetoric for now, but I have no doubts about their long term goals if (unfortunately) Al is elected.

Gore said sportmen, hunters AND law-abiding citizen. You left that out Bartholemew.

That was very calculated. It was to suggest more than the hunter and fisher crowd.

The speech was subtle. Notice also, when he came to defending areas - He said, Korea and Japan but did not mention Taiwan.

The lack of very strong gun control rhetoric was on purpose as were the two hits on Clinton.

If Gore thought he could win with less gun control rhetoric, he would do it as he is a chamelon.

I didn't "leave it out" I just quoted what had been previously posted. Personally, my upchuck factor was reached long before Gore got to gun control issues.

Gore is just trying to soften his anti-rights stance now that he figures it may cost him the election. The hunting and target shooting commentary is right in line with HCI - he is trying to

A) Reach out to gun owners and indicate he isn't a grabber
B) Not leave behind his HCI money and
C) Divide and conquer the gun owner vote by highlighting it as a "good hunting/target shooting gun owners" and "bad evil assault weapon/handgun owners".

Bart,
I'm with you. I reached my 'upchuck' factor a third through the laundry list.

I think it is WAY too late to try to neutralize the gun owners from what I've seen.

Bush's speech in Tenn. was a master piece. Pure greatness. So much so, I wasn't looking at him as the smirking shallow candidate. He left a few cannon holes in Gore and the shot's 'cross the bow were very clear. Gore has to be left saying that he doesn't trust you, me, or the soccer moms.

Also, Gore saying how 'strongly' he feels about campaign finance reform and how he will make it the first thing he does raised my eye brows. I didn't have to worry, Bush picked up on it. He hit Gore on the crediblity issue then said his first priority is education. (polls show that the big issue, not campaign finance) Bush was on all cylinders.

I feel another era of "The Great Society" coming. We are still trying get out from under that fiasco even now. I thought we had run that man out of office, in essence. And now his ghost is resurrected.

Maybe Gore's idea of campaign finance reform will be to only accepts large donations from the Chinese, all other large donations must be from ordinary citizens (read Hollyweird actors only). If a candidate doesn't get any large donations from one of those two groups, well, that's fair, isn't it?
