Has anyone ever dealt with products from this company?

Alex Auxiliary Cartridges http://www.mcn.net/~alex/

I've heard of these before, I believe they were mentioned in Gun Digest '92, or thereabouts.

I've seen converters that allow a .22LR to be fired in a 5.56NATO firearm, but I this 32ACP in a 303Brit is a new one; it'd be slick to be able to shoot pistol ammo out of my Enfield in an indoor range.

The more unusual option is this "Alex Cap" they have, which apparently allows you to fire a .22LR out of, say, a .270 Win, with a thin lead sleeve over the .22LR bullet filling up the bore. Does that actually work reliably? Do you get decent accuracy/velocity with the Alex Caps?

I welcome any input from those who have tried these out.

I haven't used them yet but plan to order a pair of them in 32 acp for my 308 scout. So if you can wait a month or so I will post a report on how they work in my Steyr Scout. I asked the Company that makes them about what kind of accuracy I could expect in my Scout and they said around 1" @ 25 yards with the 32 acp.

Ross Seyfried did an artical on them a short time ago in Rifle or Handloader.

I heard that the .32 ACP from an adapter has a sound signature like a suppressed rifle out of a 22" .308 barrel...

Can anyone confirm this?

I would think they would be very quiet. I would think all the powder would be burned before teh bullet exits even the 19" barrel on my Scout.

I plan to order a pair come payday and will post results here after I get a chance to try them out.

BTW Alex also offers an Aux cartridge for shooting a 32 H&R mag in 300 Win.
