Alessi Ankle Holsters

I was doing some research looking to invest into a ankle holster. Alessi was recommended by my friend who works for the sheriff's department. He uses them for his back up guns.

$165 is alot IMO for a ankle holster. For those with experience are they that much better than the Galco and what not?
 
Yes.

However, if you can't get around the price point, the other "everyone's favorite ankle holsters", those by Renegade, can be had for approx $60.
 
Why sacrifice quality for price..??
A good quality holster is an investment.
I have an Alessi ankle holster that I have worn since 1994 and it is still working great..the leather has softened up but is still serviceable.

If you are only going to wear the holster for the occasional wear then you should go for the Galco stuff..they do work but my gun has fallen out so the galco I have is only for party use..

The Alessi is for serious use and I trust it with my life..

Thanks. I was just checking how it was compared to some others. I haven't ever tried carrying in a ankle holster and not sure how I will like it. Do they work good with sort of tall work boots?
