I read through some of those posts and the only thing I can say is "what a waste of band-width"! I think I read a few of Youseguy's posts, it was obvious in the "thoughtful" responses, I especially liked the "you are real good at killing defenseless babies, how about an adult, armed Republican"! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa!

I especially like the part that they don't want to hear from right wingers! Talk about your basic discrimination! You don't see our gun boards discriminating like that. Goes to show the democratic agenda is a bunch of self serving bs.

This new board could be fun!

Anyone know the link to the post that was on TFL a few weeks back, the one where a young girls family was killed by a BG, and she couldn't get to a gun due to the "safe storage" laws in her state. I'm looking for it now.

Fourteen-year-old Jessica had been instructed in the safe and proper use of firearms, but was unable to access them in order to defend herself and her siblings. They were locked up in accordance with California’s mandatory safe storage law. While Jessica frantically tried to call 911 (Bruce had cut the phone lines) and ran next store and begged a neighbor to come with his rifle, her seven year old brother John William and 9 year old sister Ashley Danielle were murdered. The children's great-uncle, Rev. John Hilton, told reporters: "If only (Jessica) had a gun available to her, she could have stopped the whole thing. If she had been properly armed, she could have stopped him in his tracks." Maybe John William and Ashley would still be alive, Jessica's uncle said ( The Libertarian, Sept 24, 2000).

Jessica was a victim of gun control. Advocates of the type of legislation that prohibited Jessica from exercising her basic human right to defend herself and her loved ones have a favorite mantra. If it saves one life, it was worth it. They must stop being dishonest. If they were truly interested in saving lives, these organizations would open their minds to the true scholarship on the subject of private firearm ownership. As many a 400,000 lives are saved a year because potential victims had immediate, emergent access to a firearm. As many as 200,000 women annually successfully resist attackers because they had immediate, emergent access to a firearm. As many as 2.5 million crimes are thwarted annually because average citizens had immediate, emergent access to firearms (“Point Blank” Gary Kleck).

The MMMs are also clamoring for licensing and registration of lawful firearm owners. Again, they must stop being dishonest. No criminal is going to stand in line to register his firearm. And those who own them lawfully have reason to fear registration. Historically and without exception, licensing and registration has led to confiscation. We need not look as far back as Nazi Germany. In the 1990s it happened in England and Australia. It is happening in the United States, right now in California. Under California law, certain classes of firearms were required to be registered. The original deadline for registration was extended by two weeks to accommodate lawful citizens who had not been able to complete the paperwork. After dozens of ordinary folks registered these firearms, the registration deadline extension was declared illegal. California authorities now had a list of all citizens who registered firearms, in good faith, during this extension. The owners of these firearms were told to turn them in or face felony charges.

The most horrible consequence of disarming the lawful public is the fact (again historically and without exception) that violent crime skyrockets. It did in England. It did in Australia. Criminals aren’t afraid of the police. They are afraid of encountering an armed victim. This is exactly why Buford O Furrow avoided at least two other potential sites before entering a Granada Hills daycare center and committing attempted murder. The other sites had some sort of security and thus it was too risky for Furrow to victimize their occupants.
