Alcan cardboard 12g shells.

While digging for some paperwork for another thread on here I found some old shot shells in the bottom of a drawer. They are stamped Alcan 12 made in USA on the brass. I don't think they are that old being in the drawer they were in but I can't remember where I picked them up. I know they aren't valuable but any info would be appreciated.

A quick Google search showed production on these stopped in 71.

They might hold value to some folks who collect old ammo. A search on GunBroker might give you some insight into that regard. Do they not have a box they came in or something on the sides of the hulls themselves?

Half a box but the box is in really bad shape.

But what does it say as to the ammo itself? Duck load, target, or????

The shells are a dark red almost burgundy color. No markings and the box is unreadable.
