Hey there everyone,
I would like advice/help on getting a job on the north slope. I am originally from MN but spent 3 years in the oilfields in Utah. I am currently running frac sand in Wisconsin for the same company I worked for in Utah. Before I decided to go into the oil/gas industry, I was a carpenter for 8 years. After long discussions with my wife we decided we are interested in moving to Alaska. I am very mechanicaly inclined, professional, quick to think in tight situations, and have a very strong work ethic. I'm not interested in getting rich quick, (like some people like to tell you on all these shows you see nowadays)just providing a rewarding life for my wife and 3 children. I have tried applying to jobs online but haven't had the opportunity to be blessed with such a great job. I met a fellow in southern MN about 5 years ago that offered me a job up there but I was not in the position ( ready to have a baby) to leave unfortunately. Ever since then, that day has played back in my head 1000s of times. Anyways, any help/leads/anything would be more then appreciated.
