The Alabama govenor has signed a "castle doctrine" bill into law. It basically removes the "duty to retreat" principle of self defense. This law states that any law abiding citizen may defend him or herself against attack by any means necessary, including lethal force. Under this law, the fear of criminal prosecution or civil liability is removed. The law applies to one's house, place of business, car, or anywhere else a citizen has the right to be. I read the article the NRA's website, nra.org. I feel this is the way it should be nationwide, it makes sense.
