I'd like to at least have the option to see it on cable or satellite, but it seems in America, this isn't acceptable. The rest of the world can watch if they choose to, but only government approved "news" is tolerated here. Heaven forbid we see how other cultures view international events...we might get an inkling of why "they hate us." (not for our freedom, I suspect.)

Very nice. Maybe now there will be some real conflict footage shown on American TV. You can not make a war less brutal by refusing to show carnage, you only make people more detached from the reality of it.
And perhaps it might start bringing down the enormous wall of a media blackout we've been going through for a while. If you've ever seen an updated list of things that are okay and not okay to show on practically any of the mega-lomerate news stations...well, lets just say it'd chap your ass.

Yup. Now we will get the full story on every atrocity, the claims for responsibility, the relish the murderers feel in their actions, and the declarations of intent to do the same to any and all who will not bend to their will.

And I would say that our american media outlets are the KINGS of making people only think a little. I say another faucet of information and news should be welcome, infinitely moreso if it's free of the tycoons.
