Al Gore: "I loved The Matrix"

Gore: "I loved The Matrix. I loved the metaphor. Somebody gigged me in the mainstream media for not liking too much violence in the movies but simultaneously liking that movie. Well, you know, it was rated for adults. It was very violent, but it was a terrific movie. And I can hardly wait for the sequel."

Translation:
"I like X just as much as you do. I don't think you should be able to get/do/be/see X, but since I'm superior to you I can handle it and enjoy it. There's no inconsistency here."

This guy never came down. He is probably the most convincing argument against recreational drug use I've seen in a long time. Can't you just hear him twenty-five years ago?

"Yo, Owlsey, dude, you finished with that Whole Earth Catalogue yet?"

"Fffft-HURK! Yeah. Fffft-HURK! Check out what they say about Castaneda and peyote, man. Fffft-HURK! Same thing I've been sayin' for years now. Fffft-HURK!"

Yea he liked it. It gave him an idea of what to try to do to all of us if he gets elected by some scam.

Yeah Al Gore loved the Matrix - it gave him great ideas on replacing the Internal Combustion Engine by feeding off comatose humans body-heat while at the same time increasing the number of Democrat voters.

Al Gore "I was the basis for Keaneau Reaves -- Not he character he plays in the movie, but the actor himself." ;)

Barf, indeed!

"Sgt. Pepper was a real tour de force. I'm not enough of a music historian to know whether this is accurate or not, but from my limited knowledge, it seemed to me to be the first time that an album had an integral quality that made it a whole piece of work from beginning to end."

Can you believe Gore is trying to pass this off in Rolling Stone of all places? There have been hundreds (if not thousands) of reviews of Sgt. Pepper, all describing it as the first cohesive album that people put on their phonographs and listened to in its entirety. He's saying this as if he's the first guy who ever thought of it!

This is like someone saying, "I'm not a film student, but I'll go out on a limb and say that Speilberg is a damn good director."
