M Mobuck Moderator Dec 19, 2011 #3 There are several differences in both the feed lips and the followers on the 5.45 mags. I had an idea that the much cheaper 7.62 mags would surely work with the 5.45 but not a chance. A well used mag is more likely to kind of work but no guarantee.
