AK kit question

I'm curious where to get an AK47 kit for a reasonable price. I've seen a lot of them, but they'll be missing the stock, then one will be missing the barrel, etc. I was just curious if anyone knew of anywhere to get one. I was more interested in purchasing from another website other than gunbroker. Thanks!!

The BATF stopped importation of AK kits with the barrel included.
This is something to do with the intent that the AK imports were for spare parts, not to build a new rifle.
In any case, all AK kits imported the last few years are without the barrel.

If you want a complete kit with original fitted barrel, you'll have to pay the higher price for an older kit.

Here's a few sites that have kits, but most will be without the original barrel, and if they come with a replacement barrel the barrel has to be head spaced, which means you need head space gages:

What does it matter if some parts are missing if you have to replace them with American made parts anyway? You do know about 922r?

You missed the days of cheap kits with the original barrels.
