Now that I have a Romanian SAR-1 (with some Hungarian 30-round magazines; the Bulgarian Waffle mags are on their way), it's time for the ammo!
I see that Wolf (steel-cased) is sold for about $110 per 1,000 while PMP (brass-cased) is sold $120 per 1,000. Both prices seem to include shipping.
Since I don't reload, it is worth extra $10 difference to purchase PMP ammo? On the other hand, I understand that PMP ammo is better quality and not quite as dirty as Wolf (and possibly easier on the gun).
If it will help to preserve the gun better in the long run, I don't mind extra $10 per case.
I'd appreciate some thoughts from the AK fans and experts.
